Hi, I’m Nicolo, founder of WITHINO and the person welcoming you when a journey begins.
My life has rarely followed a straight line. I studied between France and the UK, spent time in Paris studying acting, then eventually left everything behind to travel through Asia searching for something I couldn’t fully define yet. It was while sitting alone on a beach in Palawan, in the Philippines, surrounded by jungle and the sound of monkeys in the trees, that something suddenly became clear to me: I wanted a life connected to nature, people, movement, and discovery.
That realization led me into completely different worlds. I became a scuba diving instructor despite a lifelong fear of sharks, spent months at a shark research lab in the Bahamas, crossed the Caribbean by sailboat, worked as a Yachtmaster, skipper, diving instructor, restaurant owner, kitesurf instructor, personal trainer, and eventually spent years designing experiences and adventures across different parts of the world.
I’ve lived in places that could not have been more different from one another, from the Caribbean to French Polynesia, Jamaica, Europe, and the Middle East and through all of it, I kept returning to the same idea: the moments people remember most are rarely the “main attractions,” but the human ones.
A conversation after dinner.
A shared meal.
A day at sea.
Being welcomed somewhere not as a tourist, but as a guest.
WITHINO grew naturally from those experiences.
A slower, more personal way of traveling, built around human connection, local culture, nature, food, movement, and the feeling of temporarily belonging somewhere rather than simply passing through it.
Today, WITHINO brings together everything that has shaped my life over the years: hospitality, adventure, storytelling, cultural immersion, and the belief that the most meaningful journeys are the ones that make us feel more connected, both to the world and to ourselves.
